Request for New BioImage Data Study Proposals

BG Medicine is soliciting proposals from academic institutions, corporate entities, and professional organizations to advance research of the biological specimens, rich data, and other assets produced by the BioImage Study.

The BioImage Study, which completed its enrollment in 2009, aimed to discover and validate new blood or imaging biomarkers to more accurately identify patients at near-term risk for cardiovascular events such as a heart attack or stroke.

Sponsors of the HRP Initiative (Abbott Pharmaceuticals, AstraZeneca, BG Medicine, Merck & Co., Philips Medical Systems, and Takeda Pharmaceuticals) are offering the use of its BioImage study assets to build upon this initial body of research and deepen our understanding of atherothrombotic disease.

Proposals that support the original objective of improving detection of those at near-term risk for atherothrombotic events, or which contribute to the understanding of atherothrombosis and its clinical manifestations, are eligible. Download RFP guidelines >>
